A brown-phase Black Bear (ursus americanus) strikes a pose while enjoying a meal of dandelions in Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada.

My family and I take regular drives to Waterton during the summer to find and photograph wildlife…especially bears. This young black bear was a favourite of mine last year because we found him so regularly and he was always relaxed and enjoying himself. I love his pose here with the flower casuallly hanging out from his mouth. If you look closely, you can even see a mosquito biting him on his ear!
