Our Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass celebrates its 1yr Anniversary!

We’re 1 year old! We’ve had an amazing first year at our Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass!

A panorama of the front room of the Launstein Imagery Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. We are located at 12323 20 Ave, Blairmore.

We’ve met hundreds of fellow wildlife lovers from around the world and shared our art and the stories behind it with more people than we ever could have imagined. It’s been such a privilege to carefully package framed prints, flat prints, archival metal and acrylic prints, canvases and more to bring warmth and cheer to homes from British Columbia to Michigan, from Texas to Atlantic Canada, and a whole lot of Alberta too! We’ve chatted with fellow artists, discussed conservation issues with biologists and photographers, listened to stories of wildlife sightings from local folks and tourists alike. We’ve added new releases to our lineup, new artisans to the gallery, and even opened a second area filled with solid deals on framed open edition prints. It’s been a GREAT year!

The Launstein family about to welcome dozens of guests to their Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass during the 2017 Mother’s Day Artist’s Studio Tour. Back row: John (husband, dad, photographer, coach, entrepreneur), Jenaya (conservation-minded photographer headed to greatness), Marlise (our resident artist in pencil and mixed media); Front Row, Charis (up-and-coming artisan), Josiah (our movie star and wildlife photographer extraordinaire, Melanie (wife, mom, best cheerleader ever, homeschool teacher, general manager of the gallery, our hero).

SO…it seemed only appropriate to share the celebration with our fellow wildlife lovers!

Now through July 30, almost every item in our gallery is on sale!

A month of celebration and savings to celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary of opening in the Crowsnest Pass!

Enter to win a signed and numbered fine art limited edition print of “Ramscape” by Jenaya, printed on exquisite 100% cotton rag baryta. This is one of Jenaya’s most famous pieces, currently on exhibit in the Smithsonian in Washington DC! Draw held July 30.

We’re also introducing new works every week in July, so there’ll be something new each time you drop in!

And put Saturday, July 22 and Sunday July 23 on your calendar, because we have the privilege of hosting acclaimed bronze artisan Donna Wilson for a sculpting demo right here in the gallery! Come see some spectacular art, chat with an accomplished wildlife and western/equine artisan, get to know the process of bronze art a little, and even dig into the clay yourself! There’s no charge and you can drop in anytime that weekend (this is an informal meet the artist and play in some clay weekend!).

Thanks to all our fellow wildlife lovers for making our gallery’s first year in the Crowsnest Pass one to celebrate! If you love wildlife and wildlife art, come in this month and hear the stories behind some of our releases, check out our line of sculptures, carvings and (new!) gift items, and enter for a chance to have a Smithsonian-featured print adorn the walls of your home or office!

Probably the biggest news that broke as we celebrated our first year was that the Launstein Imagery Wildlife Art Gallery has spilled over into Waterton Lakes National Park!

Some of our all-time favourite wildlife and landscape art from Waterton now adorn the walls of COGS Collection, a gallery full of fine decor and art pieces for the nature lover.

Our Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass is now open Tues-Sat 11-6 and Sun 11-4 on Main Street in Blairmore at 12323 20 Ave.

Our Waterton gallery is located in COGS Collection, open 1-8pm seven days a week throughout the summer (check for fall hours) at 301 Wildflower Ave in Waterton Park.

Hope to welcome you soon!
