This band of rams, photographed near Kamloops, British Columbia, are part of a very important population of Sierra Nevada Bighorn Sheep. They are a subspecies of bighorns that are considered at risk in their home range in California. It’s a privilege to be able to see these animals today, and the Launsteins are grateful for each opportunity. Jenaya crafted this unqiue image as the rams seemingly stepped in formation as they grazed through the sage-covered hills.
