The Launstein Imagery Wildlife Art Gallery is Officially Open!

It’s official! Our Wildlife Art Gallery has opened its doors in the beautiful mountain setting of the Crowsnest Pass in southwestern Alberta!

Our Grand Opening weekend was July 7-10, and we’re happy to report it was a huge success! We had a wonderful time meeting fellow wildlife lovers from the area along with several collectors and conservation-minded art lovers who drove out from the Calgary area and Lethbridge for the event.

Welcome to the new Launstein Imagery Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. We are located at 12323 20 Ave, Blairmore.

Guests were treated to cookies from the legendary Cinnamon Bear Cafe (folks have been known to drive hours for treats from Kathy!) and freshly roasted coffee from (of course) the Crowsnest Coffee Company. The art was the main attraction, of course, with a mix of some of our bestselling editions from the past six years along with new releases and a mix of artwork of Rocky Mountain and western Canadian wildlife. We decided the gallery opening was the right time to introduce our new line of wildlife greeting cards as well, and they’ve turned out to be one of the most popular items in the gallery.

The outstanding art of Donna Wilson, an awarded Alberta bronze sculptor, was also a highlight, with her centerpiece work, There’s Always Next Year, receiving numerous comments and queries.

We have a variety of options for wildlife lovers and art collectors, ranging from greeting cards (also available in 6-packs and 12-packs) and framed art cards to our Fine Art Limited Edition prints and canvases as well as Open Edition prints and canvases. We have a large selection of flat and matted prints available in addition to our professionally framed pieces, so there is something for every budget. In addition to Donna’s bronze sculptures, we have just added wood sculptures from celebrated Alberta carver Richard Goerg.

Jenaya’s “Salmon Swatter” has been one of the most popular pieces in our new gallery, but there’s plenty of smaller art available as well, including sculptures from Alberta wood carver, Richard Goerg or one of artisan Donna Wilson’s smaller bronzes such as her bison shown here.

During our Grand Opening weekend we received dozens of entries into our draw for Greeting Card Packs and a signed 12in x 18in Open Edition print of the winner’s choice. The draw was made at the end of the day on Sunday, August 10.
