The Launstein Imagery Wildlife Art Gallery opens in the Crowsnest Pass July 7, 2016!

After years of dreaming and planning, this spring we embarked a new family venture (and adventure!) and have been working hard ever since to be able to make this announcement to our fellow wildlife lovers! This week marks the Grand Opening of our new Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass!

Announcing the Grand Opening of our Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass July 7-10, 2016

If you happen to be in southwestern Alberta this weekend, please join us as we open the doors for the very first time to a showcase of some of our favourite wildlife images from the hand of Jenaya, Marlise, Josiah and myself (John). Animals from Alberta’s mountain parks and regions share the stage with fauna from the Prairies, the Pacific Coast on up to the Yukon Territory and many points in between.

Thursday evening (July 7, 2016) is a come-as-you-are “Open House” type event. Drop in any time after 4:30pm for great coffee from the Crowsnest Coffee Company and cookies from the legendary Cinnamon Bear Bakery & Cafe, and of course a great selection of Fine Art Limited Edition and Open Edition prints and canvases.

Also making their debut this weekend are the first releases from our new line of greeting cards, available as singles or in packs of assorted cards.

And you won’t want to miss the incredible bronze works by acclaimed Alberta artisan Donna Wilson, including some phenomenal equine sculptures for the horse lovers out there. We’re privileged to have one of her most exquisite pieces to date, a 45in masterpiece of an elk herd on the move crafted on a base of a spectacular sculpted elk antler.

Jenaya and Josiah will be on hand for artist meet-and-greets Thursday evening, Friday and Sunday (Melanie and I will be hosting the entire weekend).

Our Launstein Imagery Wildlife Art Gallery is located at:
12323 20 Ave, Blairmore, Alberta

We’re awfully easy to find…just take either the east or west access points into Blairmore from Highway 3 and you’re already on Main Street (20 Ave). We are on the north side of the road between the Provincial Building and the public swimming pool (click the address above for a Google map to our location, or see the map below).

Sure hope to see you this weekend, but if you can’t make it, be sure to drop in and say hi whenever you’re in the area in the future.

We’re looking forward to introducing you to a few of the animals who we have had the privilege of photographing…
