The Launstein Imagery Wildlife Art Gallery spills over into Waterton!
On a scale of 1 to 10 we’re at about 100 on the level of excitement we have to share this news!
As we celebrate the 1st anniversary of our Wildlife Art Gallery in the Crowsnest Pass, our art has spilled over into one of our favourite places on the planet (and the home to so many of our wildlife art pieces): Waterton Lakes National Park! We are delighted to launch a gallery of Waterton wildlife and landscape art in COGS Collection, our new favourite shop in the park! COGS is a collection of unique, one-of-a-kind gifts and home decor inspired by nature, and we are so honoured to expand our gallery to their walls!
Some of our all-time favourite wildlife and landscape art from Waterton adorn the walls of COGS Collection, a gallery full of fine decor and art pieces for the nature lover.
Our gallery opening at COGS Collection was Saturday, July 15, and we’re already struggling to keep enough of these beautifully-presented pieces on the walls!
Josiah’s much-loved “First Snow” was an early favourite upon making its debut at COGS, along with his Young Outdoor Photographer of the Year winning image, “Bighorn Battle.” Both archivally-framed prints found new homes on opening day.
Our gallery of prints at COGS Collection joins an incredible Pendleton blanket selection along with vintage European sweaters, stunning teak root furniture, fine wood and antler carvings and beautiful work from watercolour artists. It’s a wonderful, organic collection that comes together to feel like you’re at home in your lakeside cottage.
“The Bond of Love” didn’t stay on display long! It’s so special to have this piece presented less than kilometer from where John crafted the image. Also making it’s debut is the just-released edition from John, “Looking for Mom” — shown here on a beautiful fine art canvas.
If you’re in southern Alberta or have a trip planned here this summer, you will definitely want to drop into COGS Collection and soak in the beautiful art and decor pieces for the nature lover. And of course, we’d love for your to experience our new gallery of Waterton prints right where the stories they tell originally unfolded. Fair warning though: don’t expect to leave empty-handed! ;)
After being seen by over 2 million people to date in the Smithsonian in Washington DC, Jenaya’s iconic “Ramscape” makes its debut under the very mountains that grace the art. It’s likely that this winter the ram who posed so majestically for Jenaya may look through the windows at COGS! Crazy!
You’ll find COGS Collection and our new Waterton gallery right in between Wieners of Waterton and Waffleton at 301 Wildflower Ave. Here’s a link to directions from Google (don’t worry about the Wieners of Waterton reference…this will take you to the right place!). They’re open every day 1pm-8pm.
